Socioeconomic and place-based factors – collectively known as the social determinants of health (SDoH) – continue to figure prominently in the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic. The impact of social determinant risk has only been amplified as the pandemic continues into 2021.
In this eBook we take a then-and-now approach to SDoH in the time of COVID-19 and examine changes in:
- Economic risk, food insecurity, and access to education,
- Nursing home and community inequities,
- What is being done at federal, state, local, and corporate levels, and
